The results of the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Poll for 2013 are in and our Larimar Spa at the Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa has been placed amongst the top spas in the Caribbean. The results of the poll were derived from 46,476 responses to the publication’s annual, online Readers’ Choice survey, which was tabulated by Global Market Insite, Inc., of Boston.
Larimar Spa scored a perfect 100 in the “Spa Treatments” category, higher than the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman; The One&Only and The Atlantis on the Bahamas; and Parrot Cay, Turks & Caicos. Its impressive overall score of 91.7 placed it 14 out of 25 spas that made the Caribbean list (view the rankings here). Spas were rated excellent, very good, good, fair, or poor on three criteria: Spa Facilities, Spa Staff, and Spa Treatments. Those criterion scores, representing the percentage of respondents who rated a spa excellent or very good, were averaged to determine the overall rating for the spa. A minimum number of responses was required for inclusion in these rankings.
Deriving its name from the aqua-colored healing stones indigenous to the Caribbean, the Larimar Spa is designed to remind guests of the cool sea waters and warm sunny breezes for which the island is known. The spa has 10 beautifully appointed treatment rooms, offering a full menu of services, including the signature treatment: the Aloe Vera and Rum Massage. Guests can also enjoy advanced skin-care therapies, therapeutic and integrated massages from around the world, exfoliation, nourishing and detoxifying body treatments and a full-service salon to balance the body, mind and soul.
