Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group reinforced its presence in Tunisia this week with the signing of two hotels, the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Sousse and the Radisson Blu Pearl Resort, Sousse. Both are existing properties now undergoing full renovation and transformation before reopening under the Radisson Blu® flag during second quarter 2016.
“We are delighted to further strengthen our portfolio in Tunisia where we are already present in Djerba and Hammamet. At the same time, these signings underline our commitment to the African continent where we now operate and develop 50 hotels,” said Wolfgang M. Neumann, president and chief executive officer of Rezidor.
The two adjacent properties are located in the centre of Sousse, providing sea views and direct beach access ideal for leisure and business guests alike. The entire resort complex will offer year-round facilities accessible to both hotels. The Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Sousse will offer 217 rooms, three restaurants and bars, an indoor and outdoor pool, and an extensive outdoor area. The hotel will also feature a ballroom and four meeting rooms. The Radisson Blu Pearl Resort, Sousse will offer 130 guest rooms, five restaurants, two bars, two swimming pools, and a spa/fitness area. Both properties will offer parking facilities.
Sousse is Tunisia’s third largest city and offers several cultural attractions, such as the UNESCO-protected old city and several medieval fortifications, all within walking distance from the hotels. Sousse is easily accessible through the Monastir International Airport and the new Enfidha International Airport, each just 30 minutes from the hotel.
