Carlson Rezidor opens first dual branded hotel in the Nordics: Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre Oslo Alna, Norway

Carlson Rezidor has announced the opening of two new hotels located in the Alna district, just outside of Oslo, Norway. Alna is one of the most exciting and dynamic development areas in the Norwegian capital. The Radisson Blu Hotel, Oslo Alna and the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre Oslo Alna represent a unique case of two hotels under the same roof. The hotels’ conference facilities, restaurant, bar, lounges and reception are shared.

The event space includes a 6,824 square-foot ballroom and a total of 18 versatile conference rooms. In addition a spacious pre-function area grants even more options for stunning events.

Birk Lobby Bar is the hotels' natural focal point, where experienced bartenders serve creative and tasty refreshments. Betula Restaurant has captured some of the leading chefs in the Nordics to entice the guests with the best of Norwegian ingredients and the latest culinary trends from Scandinavia.

Although the two hotels share the same roof, the guest rooms and other areas of each respective hotel showcase the distinctive characteristics belonging to each of the two brands.

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Oslo Alna presents elegant lodging, featuring 142 designer rooms and suites with high-end amenities and unique views of the surrounding area. Thoughtfully equipped with free Internet access, flat-screen LCD televisions and Jensen beds, these rooms create an at-home feel amidst trendy decor. Urban touches, with light woods and lively colors, showcase the modern ambiance of each room.

The Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Conference Centre Oslo Alna offers accommodation in a flexible and effective meetings venue. Guests of this hotel will find respite in one of its 206 stylishly appointed rooms, with neutral wood tones and vibrant red ceilings. Standard and Superior Guest Rooms grant picturesque views of the surrounding landscape.

Oslo, with its eclectic architectural mix of old and new buildings, is Norway’s capital and is the perfect size to be explored by foot. The city boasts world-class museums, a lively nightlife and plenty of outdoor activities. Both the hotels are just minutes away from public transportation to this interesting and fascinating city in Europe.

“We represent two welcoming and refreshing hotels under one roof and wear our “Yes I Can” pins with great pride,” says Olav Brommeland, general manager of the two properties. We have put a lot of soul into both hotels and this is a great opportunity to showcase our unique brands to our guests.”
