Carlson launched a new, state-of-the-art online learning and development system for employees this week. The system, called Learning Link, is built on the Cornerstone OnDemand platform and replaces the former Carlson Learning Network (CLN).
“We are thrilled to unveil the innovative features of Learning Link to more than 25,000 corporate and hotel learners worldwide,” said Steve Outwater, vice president, Learning and Development, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, who oversaw the global work group that collaborated for more than six months with Cornerstone to create the custom website that hosts Learning Link. “Together, with our partners in Asia Pacific and Europe, we have developed an online portal that will deliver globally consistent training and connect learners and instructors in ways never before possible, including the convenience of mobile access.”
In a message to employees on January 7, learning leaders in each theater announced the launch of Learning Link with an animated video that previewed the robust menu of training modules and some of the system’s exciting features, like the ability for individuals to chart personal development, create profiles, link with colleagues to share best practices, and connect with trainers and mentors to continue learning beyond the completion of a course. The new site also provides tools for managers to better engage their employees in development planning and measurement.

Learning Link Scavenger Hunt
Employees have also been challenged to complete a scavenger hunt on the Learning Link website to become familiar with the site, complete log in and registration details, and to create learner profiles. Those who complete the five scavenger hunt modules by January 17, will be entered into a prize drawing.
To access Learning Link, go to the Quick Links menu on either the Epicenter or CONNECT homepage, or visit carlson.csod.com.
