The first property to feature the brand’s new design, Country Inn & Suites, Springfield, IL includes the new exterior architecture; modern interiors; comfortable, stylish furnishings; open outdoor space; and spacious guest rooms and suites that feature spa-like bathrooms. The hotel’s clean, contemporary look and feel combines with the warmth and comfort of the iconic elements the brand is known for, such as the lobby fireplace and Read It & Return Lending LibrarySM. In addition to 78 guestrooms and suites, the hotel features a fitness center, a business center, an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor veranda and meeting space for up to 25 participants.
The hotel is owned by Springfield Lodging LLC, and was a joint venture between Sand Lodging Inc. and the Swift Hospitality Group Inc. Sand Construction of Waite Park, Minn., provided the construction services, architectural services and procurement. Swift Hospitality of Freeport, Ill., provided development services and will manage the hotel.
Situated on the southeast side of Springfield, this stylish property provides guests an ideal location for exploring the hometown of President Abraham Lincoln, including his Presidential Museum and Library.
