Park Inn by Radisson Petrozavodsk opens in Russia

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group today announced the opening of the Park Inn by Radisson in Petrozavodsk, a beautiful city in northern Russian close to the Finnish border. The 180-room hotel offers a variety of fashionable and functional guest rooms, superior rooms, junior and one-bedroom suites, each equipped with free high-speed Internet, a flat-screen television, a working space with desk and individual climate control. The property also offers a fully equipped TechnoGym workout space, five modern conference rooms and a great hall for meetings and events.

The first internationally branded hotel in the Karelian capital, The Park Inn by Radisson Petrozavodsk is located in the heart of the city at 1 Gagarin Square, named after the famous Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first man to rocket into space. The main railway station is less than a half a mile from the hotel’s front door, with Besovets Airport conveniently located just 10 miles away. The road links are excellent and visitors can take the hydrofoil across nearby Onega Lake to the stunning Kizhi Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site dating back to the 14th century.

For dining, the Terrace Café serves light dishes, based around local, seasonal ingredients, plus fresh juices and scrumptious shakes. Guests can enjoy great Italian coffee and pastry at the Coffee Shop, chill-out in the hotel's in-house Sushi Bar, or enjoy a delicious selection at The Paulaner Restaurant, the city's largest Bavarian restaurant with its own renowned brewery.

"I am delighted to finally open this remarkable hotel, a true testament to the owners and employees, who have worked with dedication and vigor in ensuring we can secure a firm footprint in the region,” said Darren Darwin, general manager. “The hotel is unique in its design and has excellent facilities. With all of the essentials of a great hotel experience in place, I am confident that our newest Park Inn by Radisson will be a roaring success."

Please join in wishing Darren and his entire team at Park Inn by Radisson Petrozavodsk, a very successful opening.
