Park Inn by Radisson Troyitska, Kyiv to open in Ukraine

Park Inn by Radisson is continuing its global expansion with the opening of a new hotel in the center of Kiev, Ukraine, this year. The 199-room Park Inn by Radisson Troyitska, Kyiv, is in advanced stages of development and will welcome its first guests in the third quarter of 2013.

“We are delighted to introduce our dynamic, mid-market brand, Park Inn by Radisson, to Kiev where we already operate two upper upscale Radisson Blu hotels,” said Wolfgang M. Neumann, president and chief executive officer of The Rezidor Hotel Group. “The signing also strengthens our position in Ukraine where we are the market leader with eight hotels and 1,900 rooms in operation and under development.”

Sergei Ovchinikov, director of Real Estate for Smart Holding, the owner of the hotel, is looking forward to close cooperation with Carlson Rezidor. “We jointly will offer our guests an attractive and competitive product of international standards,” he said.

The hotel, adjacent to Kiev’s Olympic Stadium, offers 199 comfortable rooms; a 656-square-foot, all-day dining restaurant; a lobby lounge and terrace; a 100-seat sky sports bar; and a fitness room. The hotel has nine board and meeting rooms and access to an underground parking facility with 500 parking spaces.

The property will be located in the very center of Kiev, adjacent to the 70,000-plus seat Olympiyskiy National Sports Complex, which is the premier sports venue in the Ukraine and the second largest in Eastern Europe. In addition to hosting international football games, such as the Euro 2012 football final, it also is the venue for world-class concerts featuring international stars such as Madonna and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

With major commercial, consular, retail and cultural sites surrounding it, the hotel is an ideal base for business, and it is a great starting point to explore the green and historical city. Kiev has been the historic cultural center of the East Slavic civilization; and within easy reach of the hotel are such sites as the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra (Monastery of the Caves) and the Saint Sophia Cathedral. both recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
